There are three available types of the MetaTrader trading platform. The first is called a client terminal. This refers to forex trading from a single account on one desktop or terminal. The second version of MetaTrader is the mobile application, which gives forex traders the ability to use the platform on their phone or mobile device. It basically provides traders the ability to trade from anywhere, as long as they have access to their phone with an internet connection. The third version is known as multi-terminal, which means you trade and manage more than one account.
MetaTrader is also popular because it can be configured to perform automatic trading through the use of an Expert Advisor or Forex Robot.
